So I got a letter from virgin to say my account is locked due to sending spam 🤷‍♂️ and I need to reset my password but it appears my password has been changed, then all my security questions are not recognised- anyone got any tips b4 I waste an hour or more phoning them ????

Lots of ideas and advice and guidance for you. Hope you don't think this is a waste of time:

Direct response to your compromised mailbox letter should have advised you to go here;

https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-media-mail-compromised-mailbox-alert

As the spammers have changed your password you'll need to regain control of your account using the "forgotten password link". This link tells you how to do that

https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-media-reset-username-and-password

Finally some further general advice on what to do when you ahev control back (bit the same as the stuff in the first link)
