On our wavelength

I use multiple accounts with incoming mails downloaded to Outlook on my laptop.  All was well until a Broadband issue a few days ago required an engineer visit to fix with some replacement cabling - the hub was fine.  Since the visit, I cannot access any of the email accounts - standard message is account unavailable, try again in 24 hrs. Tried resetting one of the account's p/w as suggested, but makes no difference.  What has he done?  After 2 days now, I need an urgent fix.

Any ideas?
