Email login access from web

On our wavelength

I cannot log into my blueyonder email account from the virgin media homepage any more. Can someone help. There is no longer a workable link anywhere to do this. When I try this link it says forbidden.

What happened to the simple login link on the old home page?

I can access my emails via my IPad and IPhone as normal.  But I often log in via the VM homepage so I can add email folders to my account and do other account management things.

Does the issue still occur when using your browser's Incognito / Private mode? if not then clearing the browser's data cache should resolve the issue however be aware that doing so may mean:

  • you have to re-sign into services that were active / in use
  • initial loading of some sites maybe noticeably longer
  • site specific customisation may need to be reapplied

Tip: to clear cookies specific to current site select 🔒 (located in address / location bar) and then from drop menu either option to clear cookies or to view cookies and then clear cookies.

Many thanks for the advice.  I cleared my cache and I was able to click on sign in to email. Alas when I click on it and try to sign in I get the message - Forbidden.

  • when using other web browsers
  • on other devices

I keep getting forbidden when I try using my IPad on both Safari and Chrome.  The same happens using Safari on an iPhone.

I wonder whether it’s a problem with the new VM homepage.

I'm really sorry to hear you're facing some trouble accessing your webmail service. If you head here and click on the purple button that reads "Sign in to your mail account", what happens?

That's strange as it works for us here on Google Chrome, do you get the same here? Can you try it on another device and browser?

Thanks for your message. Alas it still does not work on either Safari or Google Chrome when I use my IPad. Just tried on my iphone using Safari and it had the same forbidden message.

I am baffled but there is something wrong with the log in page.

Hi there @neilj203, thanks for the update and a welcome back to the forums page!

May I ask if you are able to try on another non Apple device if possible?
Preferably an android device or a laptop / PC if possible.
It would help us find out whether or not the issues is with Apple devices and the email settings or not as this is a first that we have seen regarding this issue on the email link page not working.
