Email hacked. Money taken. Email account deleted

Somebody has accessed my ****@blueyonder.co.uk email account, using my password. They subsequently editted the email address so that I can no longer login.

They have done the same to a bank account, Amazon, ebay, ticketmaster etc....

The admins will not speak to me as I cannot provide what the new (revised) email address is. HOW CAN I?

I cannot access any old emails. They have my credit history. How can I contact the bank, amazon, ticketmaster etc when they do not believe it's me? Why no phone numbers?

It is not possible to edit an email address but the hacker has most likely changed the password - that would stop you from accessing the email account.

However, once a hacker gains access to one of your other online accounts (such as your bank account for example) they can then change the email address that is linked to that online account if that better suits their purpose.

For what it's worth, I have several online banks accounts and I don't think any of them require me to give my email address to sign in. So it is possible the hacker has access to a lot more of your private information than just your email account or possibly that you use the same password on a number of different websites.

If you are a Virgin Media broadband customer, one of the Forum Team (VM employees who support this forum) can get the Blueyonder account's password reset for you. I have escalated your post to the Forum team and they will contact you via this forum thread. Sadly, if you no longer have a VM broadband account they will be more limited in what they can do for you.

Once the password has been reset you should be able to regain access to the Blueyonder email account.

Most importantly though, from what you say it would seem that the hacker is committing fraud. Here is the advice from the UK National Cyber Security Centre on the steps you need to take.

Also, you definitely need to report this as a crime so check out step 9 in the above link.  It includes a link to enable you to start making an official report. but for simplicity here is the way to start a report   https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/

"The admins will not speak to me as I cannot provide what the new (revised) email address is. HOW CAN I?"

Once you have reported it as a crime you should find that the banks, Amazon etc will take the matter more seriously when you talk to them.
