Email Incident Review

Returning to the recent incident of lost emails/folders, a communication was issued from the office of Mr Wehrle to suggest that “we will be carrying out a full review of this incident to ensure we learn from it in future.”

Will the outcome, or at least the edited highlights, of that review be made known to VM customers?

Assuming a part of that review includes the preparation and implementation of a revised action/recovery plan; will the general outline also be made available?

Such information might provide some assurance that VM have taken every precaution to safeguard and protect the email service to the best of their ability and that should a similar incident occur in the future, that VM are better placed to deal with it.

With the outcome from the review, this would be internal information but at this time, we cannot advise on what updates will be provided publicly.
