E-mails - cannot access

I've bought a new computer but unfortunately I am unable to retrieve any of my old e-mails (or new ones).  My e-mail address was j.....@ntlworld.com.  I have rang Virgin twice and the staff have tried to help me with changing passwords, but it has not worked.  I am driving myself insane trying every conceivable way of receiving my e-mails, but nothing at all is working.  Can anyone help me please?

[MOD EDIT: Subject title changed for clarity]

Re: E-mails - cannot access

Can you log in to webmail on  https://mail2.virginmedia.com/

Can you log into your broadband account at MyVirginmedia?

Hi jpeg1 Legend

Thank you for responding.

No, when I try to sign it, it says my email account is unavailable at this time.

Do you have a Virginmedia broadband account and can you log into that?

That message often indicates that the email account has been locked by VM for security purposes.  As detailed in the on screen message you should change the email account password as this generally unlocks the account.

Each email address now has its own My VM account

Secondary accounts changes now have to be made via the My Virgin Media account for the secondary email.

Sign into the account here: https://www.virginmedia.com/my-virgin-media using the email address concerned and the current password. Once logged in click on Account Settings then Account details. You should now see the options to change password etc.

If that isn't available try https://www.virginmedia.com/my-virgin-media/forgotten-details/password

If no security answers have been set for the email address concerned then you will need to call in for support and select technical issues> email

Re: E-mails - cannot access

Hello Graham,

I have tried the links that you suggested and have followed the instructions exactly.  The answer is still the same: your mailbox is bot available at this time. I was dismayed to find out that this is what I have been doing constantly for the last four days. I have even spoken to two members of the virgin team who say they have unblocked my account by changing the password. I cant think what else I can do.

Many thanks.

Jill
