I'm no longer a Virgin Media account holder, just Virgin Mobile. I'm still getting emails from my old ntlworld email account and wish to delete the account as I think it's been hacked. I can't login via the Virgin email login page as it says my account doesn't exist. But it's still sending me emails, so it must be live still. I've been passed around various different departments in Virgin on the phone, for an hour and a half and no one can work out what to do. Can anyone help please? Thanks
This is the right place, carolines888, and you've given all the basic info required for now.
The Forum Team (VM employees) will send you a private message to get your personal details needed to pass security and raise a ticket with the email team to have the mailbox/address permanently deleted.
When they say it is done, I advise double-checking via mailtester.com. If in any doubt, do come back.
thanks for your reply. I disconnected from Virgin Media several years ago, but set up email forwarding to my gmail account. I'm still getting the ntlworld emails through that, but can't delete the account, as I can't access it 😕
also mailtester.com shows the email address as valid.
It has been used to hack into my eBay account and to follow loads of random people on Twitter. I've changed the email address in both these accounts now, but don't know if other problems are lurking round the corner, so i'd rather get it deleted altogether
