Deleting a deceased's ntlworld account

The discussions on this forum seem to be outdated, but I'll try posting a question regardless, hoping someone can help. I hope the IT people will be able to help. My husband had a ntlworld.com email account but he passed away on July 6th of this year and I would like to close down his ntlworld.com account as a lot of spam emails are coming into it. How do I proceed, or can some IT specialist do it for me?
