Delete or cleanup account

One of my accounts - not my primary account - is subject to so much spam that, over the years, I've created many filters.  Perhaps more than 100?

I want to get rid of these and start again, but deleting a single filter usually hangs my machine, requires me to refresh the pah, and often to login again.

I cannot spend a few days in clearing these out.

One solution would be to delete the account, and then recreate it.

I would expect to lose all my settings and all my data.

Does anyone know (a) If I can delete and re-install the same address, and (b) whether the filters will have been destroyed?

Re: Delete or cleanup account

Do not delete the account as: (a) it cannot be recreated; (b) forum team would needed to recover deleted account.

Delete E-mail Filter Rules in ascending order to see if that speeds up the process, i..e. last rule to first rule.

Re: Delete or cleanup account

Thanks.

I just tried deleting the rules from the bottom-up, and it works a treat - instantaneous removal!

(More 'great' code in Virgin systems).
