I have spent hours on the phone with various people at VM today, trying to resolve access to my Virgin.net account which I have been using without problem for approx 20 years but has now been hacked. No one was able to tell me how get this sorted and I was given various answers such as the account was closed five years ago/speak to talktalk/speak to this, that, the other team etc.
I am unable to access this account and would like this to be deleted - could you let me know how to get this done? The most useful bit of information I got was 'Google it' (talktalk/virgin.net) which is how I found this Forum and I'm hopeful that there may now be a resolution in sight - can you please help?
Virgin.net accounts have been around for years and many were set up in the long gone dial up days. Over the years there have been a lot of changes. Virgin Media now administer the virgin.net domain and it is only available for current VM broadband account customers..
If you are a VM broadband customer the VM Forum Team may be able to help with access to the email account, otherwise they will be able to ensure that it is fully deleted from their systems.

Welcome to our Community and thanks so much for your first post - sorry that you have had some issues with one of your emails recently. As our VIP @Graham_A has advised, if you are still a customer of ours, we can do what we can to get the access. If it is linked to an active account and is the primary email address, we would be unable to delete it.
If you are no longer a customer and the email address is no longer linked to an active account then we can request for this to be deleted and purged.
