Deactivated Email account

Up until recently I had an account with Virgin Media for a Broadband Service but since moving home I cancelled the subscription as the new property had an existing provider. The problem I have is the ( email address I have had for over 20 years has recently been deactivated by Virgin. I really need to be able to gain access to this account to enable me to transfer messages into an alternative account. 

Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear you've lost access to your emails, if you no longer have an active broadband account you would usually have 90 days in order to get things in order, before it's closed.

I've popped you over a private message to get a few more details from you, I do need to set the expectation however that I may not be able to resolve this.
