I'm having the exact same problem, having tried to log in on a new device. I've since found my original password but that no longer works so presumably has been reset in some way!
Please could someone advise, I've had my virgin.net email for well over 20 years and really need to access my messages asap

Have you tried resetting the password via Forgotten your Password? | Reset Here | Virgin Media? If successful and suspicion of compromise exists then follow the advice here, My Virgin media email has been hacked | Virgin Media Help
