I'm trying to set up Windows mail on a new laptop to access my virgin.net emails. I have no idea what the existing mail client password is. Anyone know how to reset/change it?

If you do not know the password for your virgin.net email address then your only option is to try Virgin Media's "Forgotten password" option.
Enter your email address into this link https://www.virginmedia.com/my-virgin-media/forgotten-details/password You will be prompted to answer some security questions before you can reset the password.
However, many people report issues with that process such as:
If you have a VM broadband account you and are unsuccessful with the forgotten password process, then VM staff either on this forum or on the 150 phone line should be able to help you.
Sadly, if you do not have a VM broadband (of course in many cases virgin.net users have never been paying Virgin Media customers) then VM staff are going to be very limited in the support they can offer you.

Thanks for your reply. Luckily we do have broadband with VM so they might be more inclined to help.

Thanks for coming back with that information. Did you try that Forgotten password route using the link I gave in my post? If you haven't it is worth giving it a go. Many people have managed to reset their passwords successfully that way. 😉
One of the forum team (VM employees who support this forum) will contact you via this thread hopefully later today. They will take your details by private message and take a look at your account.

Hello shodan1,
Thanks for your first post and welcome to our Community.
Sorry to hear you are having an issue setting up your email.
I'd like to take a look into this for you.
If you don't mind, I will need to send you a private message to pass security.
If you can check the purple envelope top right of your screen that would be great.
Regards
