Cannot set up emails on my IOS devices.

Please help I am pulling my hair out !!!
I have an iPhone XR & an iPad (+ dell laptop).
Last month I suddenly lost access to my ntlworld emails on all the above.
I reset my password on & successfully regained access on my laptop & also via the website, but whatever I try cannot re-access on my iPhone.
I follow all the instructions below (using smtp/ but having completed everything it fails to verify “cannot connect using SSL”
What are my next steps please to get my emails back working on my iPhone & ipad

VM have recently changed the log in requirements for accessing VM Mail via third party apps.

If you change the password for the account in My Virgin Media > Account settings > Account details you will not be able to use the new password to access the account via an email client. Email client access now requires an app specific password which can be generated in the MyVM > Account Settings > Account details > Mailbox App password management
