Cannot access blueyonder email account

Hi, I'm getting the following message when trying to access an email account

"The entered credential or authentication information does not work or are no longer accepted by provider. Please change them."

I haven't altered or changed anything, been using the account for many years without a problem. Appreciate any help

Select ⚙ > Accounts > Edit (located adjacent to account name displaying error) and update the password. Should that fail consider resetting its password here Forgotten your Password? | Reset Here | Virgin Media then amending the corresponding webmail entry.

Are you still a Virgin Media broadband customer and has the blueyonder email address concerned been part of the account throughout?

Some blueyonder users have moved broadband account without transfering the email address to the new VM broadband account.

Thx for the reply, yes I am still Virgin media broadband customer, the email address has been in use for many many years now.

Thx for the help, trying to reset - I just get taken back to the reset password stage.  Got an email from virgin saying I may have a virus and they have locked the account until I change my password, you can see my problem with that!

Currently running full virus scan until the help desk opens

Sorted, someone tried to log into the account a couple of times yesterday with the wrong password and it rightly got locked, been in touch with virgin media and been issued with temporary password, thanks to all for your help

Hi, thx for the reply, bad news the new temporary password I was issued doesnt work.  I will be away for some time now and dont know how I will be able to access the mail.
