Can't acess Virgin email via two browsers

Sudden probs after months of successful use, accessing my Virgin email (a blueyonder account) via

Opera and Brave.browsers

(Happened some time apart not same time)

I can sign in to my account  via the Vriginmedia.com page  on both browsers  - am recognized.

But when I click on Email, I get:

1) Opera:

"Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Size of a request header field exceeds server limit. "

[It's the same if I start with the direct address of my virgin email page

2) Brave

User name
Password
Confirm new password
Stay signed in

Entering proper details in boxes and signing in does nothing. I remain stuch. The browser doesn't even go through the motions of trying to connect.

NB I can still connect via Chrome browser. But the above two are my main browsers.

All help much appreciated.

Does the issue occur when in incognito / private browsing mode?

Have you tried clearing cookies set by Virgin Media?

Thx. No, never use incognito - just normal browsing.

Is there a way to clear specifically Virgin cookies?

Decided to "Clear all cookies" as trial from Opera browser. I *still* get the same symptoms ! - won't connect to email direct from email address line OR virginmedia site OR via google of virgin email. Always "Bad request". (Incl. after closing/reopening Opera). Arggh.

Use incognito mode to see if that resolves the issue; if it does then it would suggest corrupt cookies or extensions as possible cause.

As they are Chromium based browser, in the location bar type <browser>://settings/content/all where <browser> is opera or brave, in the search field type  virginmedia.com and select and Clear data

Does the issue occur when webmail is accessed from https://mail2.virginmedia.com

Brilliant! Just 1 thing.

1. Yes both browsers connect to email in private mode.

2. Yes - <browser>://settings/content/all etc worked perfectly for brave. I can now get virgin email in brave in normal mode!!

It didn't work for Opera though. "Search" got no result for virgin - so no data to clear. And Opera still can't connect in normal mode.

3. Yes the issues were occurring from https://mail2.virginmedia.com - altho not now in brave.

Thankyou so much for your help. Having brave back is great. If I could get opera in normal that would be great too. but not absolutely essential.

P.S. All OK!

I searched "manually" going down the list, found "virgin", cleared data, and Opera now works too in normal mode. Dunno why the Search box didn't find "virgin". But all's well that ends well.

Thankyou for your perfect advice. (I'll bet Virgin phone support would not have been as good. I've had probs like this before & speak from experience).
