Hi,
I have moved house yesterday and now I cannot receive or send emails from one of my virginmedia.com accounts.
Blueyonder.co.uk is fine and other virginmedia email accounts are receiving emails. The Blueyonder email account is the one I signed up with.
In SMTP I have 6 emails and the password is there for all of them.
The error message I get is “No Password for Virginmedia. Go to mail account-settings-and enter password. But I am not getting an option to enter password. Please help. Thanks Carol.

Hi Carol25,
Thanks for your post and apologies to hear you're having an issue with your mail in.
When moving home, any mail accounts need to be moved over from the old account to the new account so this could be why you're having the issue. It usually takes 24 - 48 hours for the transfer to take effect.
Have you been able to log in to My VM yet? If so, when scrolling down to the bottom of the page and selecting Virgin Media Mail, does this load your emails OK?
Pop back and let us know so we can help further.
Thanks,

Apologies, I thought I posted a reply yesterday but that seems to have disappeared.
I presume you are seeing that error from the mail app on your iPhone. It regularly comes up on the Apple community support forum from people using lots of different email services and there never seems to be a clear solution.
It seems to be a problem with the mail app or possibly an issue with iOS 16.1.1 rather than the email account itself.
However, the first thing to do is to make sure the problem is not with your VM email account. To do that try signing in to that VM email account directly on the VM website. Use this link https://mail2.virginmedia.com/ Enter the VM email address and when prompted enter its password as stored in the mail app.
If you get an error message come back and post the full error message here. It is possible the account password needs resetting on the VM email account itself.
However, if you can access your VM email account from there then you know the problem lies with the email app.
Here is a link to a recent post on the Apple Community Forum https://discussions.apple.com/thread
Actually, the person posting is getting that error when they are trying to add their account to the email app but I have linked that because the reply gives a nice summary of the steps you can try to resolve the problem. You'll see that Step 1 is the first thing I suggested doing 😉 .
