Dear Mr Mockridge.
I contact you out of shear anger and frustration because, along with many smtp.blueyonder.co.uk Customers, I am unable to send emails and have been since Tuesday, irrespective of which device is used in the attempt.
The Community Forum has posted nothing by way of an update since Tuesday.
The Facebook page replies with the usual "I'm sorry you're having a problem but we are trying our hardest to put it right" platitudes.
I gave up trying to get through to a human on the phone who could help me as my hearing isn't 100% and I struggle with accents.
Two simple questions are consistently asked, but remain unanswered: 1) What has gone wrong? and 2) when will it be fixed?
Can you help?

To be frank - this isn't just affecting Blueyonder, it's affecting all four domains.
I do know Virgin Media are looking into this. I'm going to ask that @Nathan_B contacts you as he's going to need to pass on details of affected accounts to the email team, while there are quite a few affected posters on here, people like myself haven't been affected.. @Graham_A and I have been trying to raise the profile of this behind the scenes.
There is a hack that will allow sends from a Virgin Media IP address, but it won't work if you're away from home as it requires that you turn authentication off or to none, depending on your email client.
P.S. I'm not a VM employee.
As a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share my knowledge. I don't work for Virgin Media.
Merely trying to to provide assistance and/or information to those (and it would seem there are quite a few) who, like me, are getting absolutely nowhere with this issue. One would hoped for a degree of support from a “super”user, rather than banal, unhelpful, rule quoting don’t you think?
