Can receive but not send email on iPhone

Hi, I have tried deleting and reloading my ntlworld account (other forum posts). Settings in iPhone only requires  *** username and account password for This is working. iPhone settings only require (username and password is optional) for outgoing. This is not working. Should I add username and password for outgoing?

I have reset SMTP to 465 (was 567) and added username and password. Seems to be working now!

Good to read you solved the issue but an odd problem given Apple correctly determine the account's settings, see below:
