Can I keep my ntlworld email if upgrading to Virginmedia business broadband?

I've read that someone's virginmedia email (and addresses from pre-virgin days) get removed after 90 days if removing virgin broadband from your package, but is that also true if upgrading to business broadband.
I've been advised by two different virginmedia business broadband sales people, one stated that I can keep my ntlworld address and the other that I will loose it.

@bl4cksun  Virgin Media email addresses are only provided to current residential VM broadband customers.  If you switch to VM Business broadband then your ntlworld email address will be closed down 90 days after you close your residential broadband account.

Sometimes the email address can go on for a lot longer before eventually being deleted but you should not rely on this happening.  Work on the basis that after 90 days the email account will close.

Thanks for the speedy reply, pity the answer is not what I was wanting to hear. 
Annoying that virginmedia won't let you change to virginmedia and keep the same broadband services delivered down the same wires from the same back end network but it is the sort of service I've come to expect.

Thank you for your post and welcome to our community.

 

You wouldn't be able to transfer a residential email account to a business account unfortunately.

 

As @Graham_A advised, this will be deleted within 90 days of the broadband being disconnected. 

 

I am sorry for any inconvenience that may be caused by this.
