Blueyonder password reset

To the Virgin Media Team

I've always used the [REMOVED]@blueyonder.co.uk  to play The Simpson Tapped Out game but after along time of playing I've been logged out but they sent me a code via email to log back into the game but I can't get my emails for my blueyonder account.

@MarkMason  The Moderators will remove your private email address from your post shortly.

What error message, if any, do you get when you sign into the email account concerned at: https://mail2.virginmedia.com/

The email address would appear to still be operating when checked via an online email checker

That doesn't answer the question I asked regarding error messages when logging into the webmail interface.

Assuming that you get the mailbox unavailable message then you will need to change the password.

There are two ways you should be able to change the password for an account.

Sign into the account here: https://www.virginmedia.com/my-virgin-media using the email address concerned and the current password. Once logged in click on Update Settings then Account details.  You should now see the options to change password etc.

Or use the Forgotten password route:

https://www.virginmedia.com/my-virgin-media/forgotten-details/password

Hi Graham

 

I no longer have an account with Virgin media so can't log into virgin and it's incredimail where I get my emails is asking me for my blueyonder username and password

@MarkMason If you no longer have a Virgin Media broadband account then I'm afraid that you also no longer have the right to use the blueyonder email address.

The two are tied together and email accounts should be deleted 90 days after closing the broadband account.

Some slip through the net and go on working for years but eventually get swept up.

As the email address still appears to be active the VM Forum Team should be able to ensure it is completely deleted when they reach this thread.  They won't be able to recover it for you.

Hi @MarkMason, thanks for the post and welcome to the Virgin Media forums.

Sorry to hear you're having issues with your email.

You do need to have an active broadband account in order to use the email service, this is usually removed 90 days after leaving us.

Sometimes if the email address is in constant use it can be missed, we do go through and do a clean up and as such, any email address no longer associated with an active account are deleted and removed.

However, I will pop you over a private message for a few more details, but I do need to set the expectation I may not be able to gain access to this email.
