Blueyonder email with Windows 10 mail client: "Your account settings are out of date"

I am trying to use the native Windows 10 Mail app to access my blueyonder.co.uk email account. When I add the account the Mail app spends a long time (5+ minutes) attempting to retrieve mail, but never retrieves anything. After a while I get an exclamation mark next to the Blueyonder account entry in the Mail app, and the message "your account settings are out of date".
I have tried both the POP and IMAP settings from this link, but get exactly the same problem with each:
