Blueyonder email neither sends nor receives

My Blueyonder account has stopped sending or receiving. Responses are 'Unable to verify account name or password, 'Cannot send message  using server SMTP,' and 'Server identification required - VM 401.' Any help, please?

Re: Blueyonder email neither sends nor receives

The VM401 code implies that your email settings do not have password authentication set to on.  You need to authenticate using your full email address and password.

Check that first and report back.

BYonder email- not sending / receiving

Blueyonder email will neither send nor receive.  Failure messages: 'Cannot  send message  using server SMTP,' and Server response: 'Authentication required VM801,' and Unable to verify account name  or password.'

I am using iCloud instead but am missing any Blueyonder messages.

Have  tried usingVirgin Media instead of Blueyonder.co.uk . No change.

Any clues?

Re: BYonder email- not sending / receiving

@DIL2

I suspect this issue is connected with the other one you have posted about here:

https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Email/Blueyonder-account-names/m-p/4377883#M201396

The VM Forum Team will get to this in a day or so, they are very busy at the moment.  They will be able to check the status of your blueyonder accounts and see if they are properly connected to your current VM broadband account.

Re: BYonder email- not sending / receiving

Thanks for the post DIL2.

We can see some power level issues so we've booked an engineer appointment using the information on the forum.

You can check this appointment and reschedule if needed on your online account.

Thanks, Emily.
