No, VM email system seems to be operating correctly at the moment.

What error message are you seeing when trying to access the blueyonder email account via https://mail2.virginmedia.com/

Can you confirm that you have a current VM broadband account and that the email address concerned is attached to this current account?

Can log into my virgin media OK, but when access emails getting the following message....

Your Mail box not available at the moment...try changing password via my virgin media.

That usually indicates that the mailbox has been locked for security reasons.  Following the instructions in the message to change the password for the email address concerned usually unlocks the account.  You should wait up to an hour for it to be unlocked after changing the password.

Will that also change the password that logs me into my virgin media account as that seems OK?

Each email address has its own My Virgin Media account so sign in with the blueyonder email address concerned and current password and then change the password via Update settings> Account details. Whilst at that page make sure that the password recovery questions/answers are set up for the blueyonder address.
