E mail hacked. Hacker made contact and quoted my password! He can see and read my e mails. Need to rest my password URGENTLY. Tried to contact help, No help provided

This is a common scare tactic used by scammers.  It is highly unlikely that they can actually access your account. Often in these cases they quote passwords that have appeared from data leaks from other sites where the password has been used.

You should be able to change the password via the My Virgin Media account for the email address concerned.

Log in and click on Update settings then Account details and click on edit to the right of the password field.

Make sure that you are not logged into any other VM accounts before using the link.
