I'm writing on behalf of the widow of a blueyonder email account holder. She has not been left the email password after her husband sadly passed away in 2015.
It hasn't been a big issue until now but his Twitter account (which she also didn't have access to and is linked to the blue yonder email) has been compromised in the last 24 hours. In order to access Twitter we need access to the blueyonder.co.uk account.
His email is [REMOVED]
I hope you can help. Thank you.

Well done for trying to help this lady.
Can I ask if she is still a Virgin Media Broadband customer?
If she is not then I suspect that Virgin Media staff will only be able to delete the Blueyonder email account rather than regain access to it.

Hi @CDavies23
Thanks for posting on our community forum and sorry to hear about the issue with your email.
As advised above we would only be able to delete the account without a currently active broadband account, if you could update us with some more information we'll be sure to look into this.
Regards

Thank you very much for your responses. So you don't have a protocol for deceased customers aside from deleting the account?

Depends which account you mean. If the deceased person had a broadband account with Virginmedia, and this account is still maintained by the widow, then the email account linked to it will still be available and forum staff should be able to assist.
If the broadband account has been closed, then the linked email account will also be closed. This was a condition of the original contract
