Your system has determined that certain emails are Spam and has automatically sent unsubscribe instructions.

I reported this about a month ago and was told you were looking into it.  Since then there has been no progress and I'm still not getting the emails.  The originators cannot get round this until you rescind the instructions.

Do you have an example of the email Virgin Media automatically send because AFAIK this is not possible in webmail without user confirmation?

My understanding of mailing lists is that its the  originator who manages subscriptions, i.e. who is subscribed, unsubscribed and on a suppression list — has the originator confirmed you are not on the latter, a suppression list, meaning no matter how many time you resubscribed the mailing list would never be sent to you.

The unsubscribe instructions were not sent to me, nor was I notified.  They were generated by Virgin's system and sent automatically to the sender.

I only have the sender's word for what has happened, although two sperate senders have said the same thing.  Virgin have acknowledged that it can happen and were, supposedly, looking into reversing it.  The senders both say they cannot reinstate until Virgin withdraw their instructions.

One sender sends out two types of notification.  The Virgin system has, apparently, only identified one as Spam, so I still get the other.

Hi Travis,

I'm pretty sure I responded to that.

How do I get to the PMs to check?
