My Virgin Media email has been hacked by someone requesting bitcoin. I don't use this email anymore, can the account be deleted?

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community. Sorry to hear of the email issue. Is this your primary email that is on an active cable account? 

If so, you cannot delete it I'm afraid.

If it's not an active account, let me know and we can request IT delete it.
