Account closed, email still accessible

The last bill date on my now closed VM account was September 10th and the email account associated with my VM account is still accessible and working today. That is 91 days since the last billing date, can the email account now be closed down please?

Just to update the thread, the email deletion request has been sent to IT and they'll delete it within 5 working days

Hi, continuing on with this issue:

Last December the primary email address associated with my closed VM account did get successfully shutdown.

Fast forward to today and it would seem that my wife's blueyonder email address which is / was a secondary email address on that same account appears to still be active. It would appear that she is somehow at least still able send emails as <username_here>@blueyonder.co.uk and I believe that these emails are being sent through the Virgin Media email servers.

Do you have any idea what might be going on here?
