Re: Access virgin.net account

Hello

Are you still a Virginmedia broadband customer ?

If you are a customer then is the email address linked to your account you can check https://my.virginmedia.com/my-profile/listUsers ?

If you are no longer a customer then I am afraid that all the staff can do is to make sure that the email address has been deleted as per terms and conditions to be able to use a virginmedia email address you have to be a broadband customer. The staff cannot cannot re-enable an account if it has already been deleted.

Re: Access virgin.net account

Hi Stewyy,

Thanks for your post on the forums, I am sorry you've been unable to access your Virgin Media email account.

@DJ_Shadow1966 has given some great advice which is also correct - if you're no longer a Virgin Media customer, your email will be deleted after 90 days of disconnection.

If you are still a customer, please follow the link DJ has provided and let us know what you find out.

Thanks,

Megan_L

Re: Access virgin.net account

Hello

I am afraid that once an email address has been deleted then it cannot be reinstated, all to do with Data Protection.

Re: Access old .net account

Hello

Are you still a Virginmedia Broadband customer ?

If you not then I am afraid that you are not entitled to use a virginmedia email address as per T&C, all the staff can do is make sure that it is deleted.

If you are a customer is the email address attached to your account you can check at https://my.virginmedia.com/my-profile/listUsers

If the email address has been deleted then it can never be used again, due to data protection. Virgin.net email addresses should have been deleted after 1yr of the closure of the dial up connection.

Regards Mike

Re: Access virgin.net account

It doesn't recognise the email address I have provided. does this mean it has been deleted?

I checked on mailtester and it seems that the email is still active.

Re: Access virgin.net account

Thank you for coming back to us @Stewyy

This would indicate that the email address has been deleted.

Kind regards,

It would seem that VM have blocked Webmail access to the account but have not deleted the mailbox itself. We often see where VM appear to initiate the deletion process but then it does not fully complete. Tools such as Mailtester simply check that the address still exits on the server, they do not try to access the account.

If you are no longer a VM Broadband customer all VM staff can do is to arrange for the account to be fully deleted.
