All of a sudden, after over a year of no problems, I've not been able to access my virginmedia.com email address on the web or using any of my Apple/Mac devices. My blueyonder email address is working fine (but often gets hacked) and my gmail accounts are working fine from the same devices. My sense is that it is accessing the server that's the issue, but I don't know what to do to correct it.
Although I use technology a lot, I'm not au fait with all the technicalities and would appreciate some help.
I've never accessed it by webmail, but when I tried to add it to webmail today I got a message saying that 'this account already exists' (although I can't see anywhere in the webmail where I can access it).
Have just explored webmail again and found it as an account, but when I tried to untick the unified mail box I got the message, 'The entered credential or authentication information does not work or are no longer accepted by provider. Please change them.'
It sounds like the VM email address is not linked to your primary account.
When you sign into your My Virgin Media account with your primary username and password, presumably the blueyonder email, and click on My Profile > Manage Accounts do you see the Virginmedia address listed as a secondary account?
I'm a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share knowledge, I don't work for Virgin Media, I'm a VM customer. There are no guarantees that my advice will work. Learn more
