Is there anyway that virgin can reactivate an email account that was closed 2 years ago?

As Virgin are actively closing email accounts for non broadband customers I'd say that's not going to happen

I thought information was available for 7 years and had to be available if needed

Quite the opposite. Under GDPR, a company cannot keep data on someone who is no longer a customer.  If you are no longer a VM customer they must remove it.

Thanks for posting in regards to reactivating a closed email address. We appreciate you raising this via the forums and welcome to the community.

 

As has been advised, once an email address is deactivated we aren't able to reactivate at any point I'm afraid.
