speak to a human being

If I stop my direct debit, do you think it will then be possible that a human being will actually talk to me about Virgin's bad service?

Re: speak to a human being

You'll certainly get human contact but it'll be the debt collectors pursuing a default from you on your contract. And VM will have your credit record marked with the default so fast you'll not have time to blink. So don't unilaterally cancel your DD.

If you have an issue why not do the sensible thing and post about on this Forum, in the correct section and you'll get the advice you need.

Re: speak to a human being

Certainly not.  What will happen is that VM will attempt to take the next payment, it will be refused.  You will incur a late payment penalty added to the debit balance on your account.  VM will treat the non payment as a credit default, you will get a big brown mark on your credit history file, visible for the next six years to all companies with whom you might wish to contract for any service or credit.  VM may take you through the county court, and you will end up with a County County Judgement against you, meaning nobody reputable will lend you money.  And then they'll pass the debt to a debt collection agency, who will add their own charges to VM's, and dog your footsteps for the years to come if ou don't pay up.  And even if you do, that doesn't erase the default and CCJ from your credit history file.

Now, if you want something fixed, search, read, follow the Virgin media Complaints Code Practice.

Re: speak to a human being

Thank you for your reply.

I am fully aware of this.

But as a last resort, I will do it.

Debt collectors have never bothered me. they always end up selling the debt is the normal legal thievery that exists.

Ruin my credit rating, no problem I always pay cash.

No properties in my name so no assets to threaten.

Old aged pensioner on a minimum pension against multi-million-pound business.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see who will be damaged by the publicity the most.

Plus the fact all the evidence is there for a breach of contract on their part.

A simple human voice from the company that hides and makes contact almost impossible could easily resolve all of this.

But again thank you for your response and you are quite correct in all you say.

Re: speak to a human being

Thank you for your reply and you are correct in all you say.

Though why do they hide.

If you have a burst pipe, you just phone a plumber and get it sorted immediately.

You do not have to read and study which avenue to go down and hit many automated brick walls, you simply speak to a person.

They have ignored all my attempts to speak to someone.

And this is before the lockdown.

but once again thank you for your reply.
