I have never been able to get any meaningful help from the automated help chat lines.
They can never understand my questions, and my bank is now using them, and the phone lines also try to bypass human help, so I just keep asking for help and select the last option button 7 to get through to an actual real person.
The phone line will now always direct you to the online help at first to avoid answering the call.
The difference when you do get to talk to a real person is that they can usually resolve you problem.
The automated help may be useful, but I can not fathom it.
The latest thing is virtual newsreaders- will humans be phased out?-hope not.
I am all for analytical tools using AI, but it still has along way to go be able to replace a person doing the same job.
