contract cancelled why have i received a new bill?

contract ends 12/07.2020 received a bill for 13/07.2020 to 12/08/20 which is due to be collected 23/07/2020 why is this ?

Hi rjd123,

It can be confusing, but this is how the cancellation process works

When you cancel and give us the 30 days notice period your are billed up until the date of disconnection. In this time if another bill has been produced before your disconnection date it will show that your are going to be charged for the month going forward. 

Once your disconnection goes through any advance charges on your account will be refunded back to you and you will receive a final revised bill with the correct amount owed.

If you are left with any credits on your account after the disconnection of your services you will be sent a cheque refund 45 days after disconnection.

So basically i ignore this bill as the collection date is 11 days after disconnection. I will no longer be a virgin media customer from the 12th July owing nothing so i am not going to permit them to take a payment on the 23rd just so they can repay me when it suits them.
