Virgin media hub 3.0 not working - showing set of lights not diagnosed on website

So this may be an interesting one. Our hub 3.0 lost connection, so we went through the reboot procedure and after 25 seconds, it does this...

Then for a split second it all goes red and shuts off to just a yellow light, looking like this.

No internet connection whatsoever, the wps button is not pushed in, and the box was working just fine before this.

Re: Virgin media hub 3.0 not working - showing set of lights not diagnosed on website

Was it a re-boot or pin-hole re-set

Hub switches off with the switch at the rear of the Hub for a re-boot, do not disconnect the power supply to the Hub

Are you using a Mac or PC?

It can take up to 5 minutes for the Hub to re-boot

First a reboot then a pinhole reset (both produced same results).

Using a PC. And have left it the 10 minutes max they say it takes to no avail.

What are the lights showing at the back of the Hub where your connection to the PC plugs in

are they yellow or green and flickering or not showing?

You could try, open a command prompt as administer and Enter ipconfig /release and press Enter

if that doesn't work try, Enter ipconfig /renew and press Enter

Phone 150 freephone if you're with virgin landline phone It will tell you if there any  faults in your area

or use a neighbours landline if they're with virginmedia the 150 number is free on virgin phones to report faults or

to get online help. Is this a fault with other neighbours internet or just yours?

In which case it might be an area fault.

Re: Virgin media hub 3.0 not working - showing set of lights not diagnosed on website

Nobody else in the property I live in is currently connected to virgin media. I have used the service status checker and cross checked with isitdown. looks like there are no issues.

I have booked an engineer appointment and will update! But any other fixes please let me know. Ideally need it working for work!
