After years and years of being a virgin customer that’s means spending thousands and thousands of pounds they want to take their final pound of flesh if you dare try to cancel.
We are in a cost of living crisis and throw in retirement saving have to be found. So of course tv and phone are high on the list. But this disgusting company wants me to pay £96 for each service that’s cancelled and then charge £50 per month just for broadband. I know that a friend of mine is paying just £16 a month for Virgin broadband.
I AM GOING TO REPORT THIS TO MY MP. Because people who can help the ordinary person should be told and I strongly suspect that I’m not the only one, so everyone get in touch with your MP. tell them how disgusting this company is. I am sure that those at the top of the Virgin tree are not having to make these awful decisions about eating or heating.
SHAME ON YOU VIRGIN MEDIA.

If you are mid contract you agreed to early disconnection fees when you signed up:

I'm sure your MP will be a great help...

Hi @K3BGT
VMO2's Early Disconnection Fees are currently capped so that you will pay no more than £288 (includes VAT).
If you speak to retentions (thinking of leaving) they may be able place you onto the M50 broadband only package which is currently £38 a month for new and current customers.
It can be less expensive to take out a bundled package as they include larger discounts. The M100 broadband and weekend calls package is currently £25 for new customers and £51 for current customers. You should be able to negotiate a deal between the two price points.
Virgin don't have any packages at £16 per month, perhaps your friend has managed to secure a superb retention deal, although that pricing seems unusually low.
The least expensive pricing at present is the Essential Broadband package which is only available to people claiming Universal Credit.
As the package name suggests, it's broadband only, and has a 15Mbps average download speed, and a 2Mbps average upload speed.
