Virgin broadband inlet tripping the rcd fusebox

Hi

Can anyone help? The virgin media all mounted box is tripping our electricity. Every time we turn the power back on to the outlet it trips the power in the house. The earliest that virgin say they can get out to us is Friday . There are two of us working fulltime from home. Can anyone suggest a fix? The issue is definitely the power box. We have tested all sockets in the house and localised the problem to the virgin broadband supply (not the router)

Re: Virgin broadband inlet tripping the rcd fusebox

What do you mean exactly by the 'broadband inlet' ?

The only thing connected to the mains will be the hub and if you have one the tv box.

Re: Virgin broadband inlet tripping the rcd fusebox

There are two possible power sources that could be involved.  The power transformer supplying the Hub or if it is a FTTP installation the power supply to the converter located on wall by the access point.

In any case as the op hasn't responded recently it would suggest the fault has been sorted.
