Street trench repair looks dreadful

Tuning in

Virgin Media have spent last week and again today digging trenches in my housing estate.  We received no notification of intended work and it caused endless disruption when trying to leave for work or school pick ups.   Now we are left with a very “ugly” patch repair right through the cul de sac.   Who is responsible for fixing it properly?   As it stands, it’s unsightly in what is a well looked after development.

Thats quite a neat trench which look like its been cut by a floor saw using water (the correct method). I would expect the contractor to attend site to jet wash off the staining of the carriageway. The trench will weather in slightly but will always be there until the road is resurfaced in the future (if ever). it is the responsibility of V/media to rectify any defects in the the next 2 years once they have registered the reinstatement as being permanent.

the reinstatement looks like it conforms to the specification for the reinstatement of highways (SROH).
