Street Cabled but no service

Hello,

A quick question and wondering if anyone has had a similar situation.

Our street was cabled a few years ago now and has the Virgin Media outlet outside each house, I registered for updates at the time, yet still it's showing as not available.

Is it normal for such a wait time?
