Is this a coincidence or something more sinister?

So, my contract is up in a couple of weeks and so I started a chat using the virgin bot yesterday which progressed to a Whatsapp chat last night(which incidentally I missed as I was out)

Today at 7 am I get a call on my home phone from `virgin` telling me I have a problem with my internet connection, I hang up. Then a short time ago I receive the same again, again I hang up.

I will say I have had these fraudsters calling before using various cover stories but never using Virgins name in their calls.

Am I reading too much into this?

I have found the best way to deal with these scams is to ask them what is your surname and they usually hang up.

But the biggest give away is when the caller cannot pronounce Virgin and say Wirgin, I'm sure Virgin wouldn't employ some who couldn't pronounce the company name correctly.
