Sky termination

Hey all, so had the virgin guys knock on as our street has just had virgin installed and they said they could get my current sky deal terminated and virgin will pay for it (if it’s in a reasonable price range) so did all that.  I have all my virgin account setup and an install date, but has anyone had this before if so how long did it take for sky to get back to virgin with a termination cost

There's no industry protocol for swapping packages and VM don't cover other companies' exit charges.  You need to give notice to Sky and pay any applicable termination charges yourself.  Or cancel the VM contract under your cooling off rights.

Hi without any doubt this was complete nonsense just a ploy to get you to sign up and for the "sales people" to get thier commission, moral if you want something contact the company or companies yourself. Regards Micky

The one thing to note is that if you sign up with VM and opt to transfer your landline you must not cancel your phone number.
