Program Quality

Does anyone else think that the quality of programming had declined rapidly over the past couple of years, whilst costs have risen?

I try not to ever miss Gems TV (755) and A Message for Parents (968).

Some of that is COVID related as broadcasters like terrestrial used up their new programme reserve whilst making no new dramas or certain other programmes whilst their costs went up due to extra COVID measure in their buildings and filming on location and inflation which they hadn't factored into budgets. It will take a while to get budgets into place and ramp up of production again. As there was not much new programming, overseas sales slowed and that causes a reduction in income.

Other established channels have been disappearing into the streaming world instead of being linear channels.

Whole host of reasons.
