Disconnection

I have just received a message informing me that my services are being disconnected, yet I have not requested such change.

How can that happen and what reason would there be for doing so?

If this was a telephone message then, in all probability, it is one of several similar scam calls that are doing the rounds.

It was an official email from Virgin Media with reference number etc.

have you checked the email for validity?
was it trying to get you to call a number to email back?

Probably the only way of confirming is speaking directly with VM.

you can call them and ask if they have attempted to disconnect you.
