Have you tried navigating to the login page from another browser ? Or perhaps from a recent email? Hope you have some luck.
Yes, I managed to log in using Internet Explorer.
Then I did what I should have done first, before posting here: a google search. I gathered from that that the best thing to do first was to delete all cookies relating to Virgin Media. So I did that, and I was then able to log in. So I am now happy.
