Unfortunately the builders working on our driveway cut through our Virgin wire today.

I have booked an Engineer visit. Will they be able to fix it or do I need a specialist Engineer?

It all depends on the nature of the damage - do you have any photos?

There's a good chance the tech will do a temporary repair to get you back on service, but a permanent fix can sometimes need a new cable being run from the streetcab to your home, known as a repull. That can take anything from a few weeks upwards.

Yes, the VM tech will either carry out a repair or, if that proves to be impossible, a new cable from the cabinet will be requested.
