When you install any electrical device, including the Virgin Media Super Hub, it’s important that it only uses the power supply that came with it. This ensures the device isn’t under powered, which, in the case of the Super Hub, will result in poor broadband reliability or wireless performance.
While it may seem a hassle to unplug your old modem or routerwhen installing a new one, it really can have a significant impact on the reliability of your service. Using the right power supply for your Super Hub will ensure you get the best possible wireless broadband experience.
The Super Hub’s correct power supply looks like this:
The key information that you need to check is the line that starts with “OUTPUT”
If this doesn’t say 12V / 1.5A then the Super Hub is using the wrong power supply and could be suffering Internet connection issues or unreliable wireless signal.
Unplug this power supply and instead use the original power supply that came with the Super Hub.
