TV Audio Crackling

I have recently joined VM, and this is my first post on the Community site, but ever since having the system installed on the 10th Mar 16 I have experienced occasional audio crackling on some (not all) TV channels. The audio crackling is also apparent on the preview picture in picture mode. My solution to the problem, when this occurs, is to change the channel both up or down and then return to the desired channel. Mostly this rectifies the audio issue but sometimes I have to do this repeatedly until the sound is clear. This solution is bearable I suppose, unless I want to watch an important section of the channel and I miss the important bit while doing the channel hopping rectification. I have also noticed that the crackling occurs on some recordings and then I am stumped and have to delete the recording because it is unwatchable unless the volume is turned off.

Does anyone else experience this problem and can suggest a solution?

The other annoying thing is the randomness of the TIVO suggested recordings - I have no idea why I would want to record Emmerdale, I have never watched the programme and don't intend to and am continually deleting these recordings - I don't believe that I have a series link on it. Unfortunately my wife likes to record and watch Eastenders so perhaps VM thinks I would want to watch Emmerdale as well.

Seriously I would like some help on the audio crackling problem.

Re: TV Audio Crackling

Hi NeilSKN

Welcome to the Community, I'm very sorry to learn about the problems you're experiencing with your TV service at the moment.

I've been able to locate your account and run some tests on the line from our end, we're detecting some errors being returned and I'd like to arrange for action to be taken to get this resolved.

I've sent you information regarding this in a private message, which you can view by clicking the purple envelope on the top right of this page.

Look forward to hearing from you
