Hello. I'm enquiring on behalf of my 90 year old grandfather
He gets his 'Freeview' TV through a Virgin Media box and is not on any subscription. The picture on every channel is constantly breaking up and freezing. It is unwatachable as the break up occurs literally every second.
Checked the cables etc, turned the box off and on but the problem still persists. I'm on Satellite myself so don't really know much about Virgin but going through the menus I got to a diagnostic page which came up with Post RS errors (10553 475000) and No Signal. Literally these messages were every second on the timestamp.
Tried calling 150, but he doesn't know his password so can't get through.
Is there anything I can try to fix the problem? Hidden menus, hard resets or what not?
Or how can I contact someone if we don't know his account password?
