If you rent a movie and it suddenly just stops playing, re start it from the point you were at and then use fast forward to get through the point it stops at. If you just let it play it will stop again. Worked for me on Mrs Peregrine. Didn't work on War on Everyone but that is broken and Virgin don't bother to tell you.
Don't try getting a refund after 2 failures either. Virgin say they don't allow this even though it's there shonky service that's failed.
